Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Jammu, a small mountainous town in India. I moved to the US over 20 years ago.

Medical School

Government Medical College Jammu.

Residency/Fellowship

I completed my Family Medicine Residency and Fellowship from University of Pittsburgh Medical center, St Margaret's Hospital

Current Practice 

UCI SeniorHealth Center 

Special Interests 

Chronic disease management in geriatric population with special interest in Diabetes and Hypertension.

Personal Interests:

Yoga, reading, cooking, spending time with my family.

Fun Fact about yourself:

I moved from Pittsburgh about 2 years ago . I live in Irvine with my husband and 11-year-old daughter. My daughter and I love to bake together. We are looking for a canine addition to our family. 

Why did you choose UCI?

UCI has one of the strongest geriatrics programs in California. Its Patient centric, academic focused and inclusive environment made it an easy choice.

Future plans?

Providing patient centered care while practicing evidence-based medicine. I want to focus on building tools to improve access to quality care. Teaching and training are also my future goals.
